We're seeking a visionary strategist to map emerging tech trajectories and guide our R&D roadmap toward 2026 and beyond. This role sits at the intersection of AI, quantum computing, and sustainable innovation, requiring you to anticipate paradigm shifts before they become mainstream.
As a key member of our C-suite advisory team, you'll collaborate with Nobel laureates, industry disruptors, and government futurists to develop actionable frameworks for tomorrow's challenges. Our Austin headquarters features a state-of-the-art foresight lab with quantum simulators and neural interface prototyping tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop predictive models for 2026 technology adoption curves across AI, biotech, and quantum domains
- Produce annual 'Horizon Scan' reports identifying breakthrough technologies with 3-5 year impact windows
- Design scenario-planning frameworks for existential risks (climate, cybersecurity, AI alignment)
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, policy, and ethics teams
- Establish KPIs for measuring technological maturity against 2026 milestones
- Present findings to Fortune 500 executives and UN technology councils
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or equivalent discipline with 8+ years applied foresight experience
- Published peer-reviewed research on technological singularity or exponential tech forecasting
- Portfolio demonstrating successful commercialization of future-vision concepts
- Proficiency in forecasting tools (Delphi, causal layered analysis, agent-based modeling)
- Deep understanding of emerging tech ethics and regulatory landscapes
- Fluency in at least one predictive programming language (Python/R) with visualization expertise
- Experience advising Fortune 500 CTOs on 5-year technology roadmaps
