Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2026 strategic foresight framework using horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Produce actionable reports on emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and their industry implications
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed future-thinking into product roadmaps and business strategies
- Establish early-warning systems for disruptive market shifts and regulatory changes
- Partner with R&D to prototype future-facing solutions aligned with 2026 sustainability mandates
- Present strategic recommendations to the board and executive leadership quarterly
- Mentor a team of futurist analysts and researchers
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futures research
- Proven track record of developing long-term strategic frameworks (5+ year horizons)
- Expertise in trend analysis methodologies (Delphi, STEEP, weak signal detection)
- Deep understanding of emerging tech trajectories (Web3, AGI, climate tech)
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex futures into executive priorities
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., CFPC, CFS) preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating successful futures projects impacting business strategy
