Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 5-10 year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, neural interfaces)
- Identify and analyze disruptive trends, conducting horizon-scanning research across 12+ global innovation ecosystems
- Design and implement scenario-planning frameworks for geopolitical, economic, and technological disruptions
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to integrate future insights into corporate strategy and product roadmaps
- Present findings to stakeholders through compelling visualizations and executive briefings
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, scientists, and industry thought leaders
- Develop proprietary forecasting models using AI/ML tools and alternative data sources
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years experience in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology R&D
- Proven track record of developing and implementing future-proofing frameworks for Fortune 500 companies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (e.g., quantum AI, climate tech, bioprinting)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
- Published thought leader (journal articles, white papers, or industry reports)
- Experience with scenario planning tools (e.g., Causal Layered Analysis, Delphi method)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-shaping initiatives
