As a thought leader, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives to develop forward-looking roadmaps, conduct horizon-scanning research, and incubate experimental projects. This role requires equal parts scientific curiosity and business acumen to navigate the complex landscape of emerging technologies while maintaining ethical boundaries.
Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning research to identify disruptive technologies shaping 2026+ landscapes
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive technology radar for emerging innovations
- Design and facilitate cross-functional innovation workshops with R&D, product, and marketing teams
- Create strategic roadmaps integrating quantum computing, biotech convergence, and AI ethics frameworks
- Present foresight analyses to executive stakeholders and investor communities
- Incubate experimental projects with potential $10M+ market impact
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory shifts affecting technology adoption
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or technology foresight
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, biotech, neuromorphic AI, etc.)
- Proven track record of commercializing breakthrough innovations
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario planning capabilities
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed tech journals or industry whitepapers
- Experience building and leading multidisciplinary innovation teams
- Strong understanding of ethical frameworks for emerging technologies
