Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks
- Maintain discipline and ensure student safety during transit
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and school district policies
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Complete accurate trip logs and incident reports
- Assist students with mobility needs and special accommodations
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Driver's License
- Ability to obtain Class B CDL with P endorsement
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Availability for early morning and afternoon shifts
