Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, dry vans) for local/regional freight delivery
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logging system compliance
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Handle freight loading/unloading with proper material handling techniques
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and service
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Washington, DC metropolitan area roadways
- Basic knowledge of freight handling and securement protocols
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional weekend deliveries
