Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional freight deliveries
- Plan efficient routes while adhering to DOT regulations and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies
- Maintain clean driving record and uphold professional appearance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Kansas City metro area and Midwest routes
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility to work nights/weekends as needed
- Pass background check and employment verification
