Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) to deliver freight to destinations across Massachusetts and neighboring regions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and secure cargo using appropriate straps and chains, ensuring weight distribution is balanced.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than one minor accident in the last three years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening.
- Willingness to work weekends and flexible shift schedules.
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and DOT regulations.
