Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight between Chicago distribution centers and regional hubs
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for real-time route adjustments
- Assist with secure loading/unloading operations at client sites
- Communicate professionally with clients and warehouse staff
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to work Friday-Sunday shifts (5am-5pm)
- Familiarity with Chicago metro roadways and industrial zones
- Pass mandatory background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong time management and documentation abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally
