Responsibilities
- Operate company vans to deliver goods and materials to commercial/residential clients
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely arrivals
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain detailed delivery logs and obtain client signatures
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL license or willingness to obtain immediately
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Chicago street grid and suburbs
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
