Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance readiness
- Supervise student conduct during transit to ensure a safe environment
- Assist students with boarding/alighting and accommodate special needs
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident documentation
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all district policies and transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (Class B with P/S endorsement)
- Clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Experience working with children preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage student behavior professionally
- Flexibility to cover multiple routes as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
