Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional night deliveries
- Maintain DOT-compliant logs and vehicle inspection reports
- Optimize routes using GPS technology for on-time deliveries
- Securely load/unload freight with proper equipment handling
- Communicate with dispatch team via satellite communication systems
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and HOS regulations
- Perform minor preventative maintenance checks
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean MVR
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) usage
- Knowledge of Chicago metro area and Midwest highways
- Flexible availability for overnight shifts (8 PM - 6 AM)
