Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight on regional routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS navigation systems
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and securement protocols
- Document delivery receipts and handle customer service interactions
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and DOT compliance standards
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate heavy machinery
- Strong knowledge of Maryland roadways and DOT regulations
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Basic GPS technology proficiency
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
