Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight using multi-axle trailers between Baltimore distribution centers and regional hubs
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records via ELD systems
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Adapt routes to meet delivery deadlines while prioritizing safety compliance
- Communicate shipment status to dispatch and clients in real-time
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and HAZMAT certification preferred
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
