Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across Michigan and surrounding states
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems while adhering to DOT regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques using provided equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Knowledge of Michigan and regional highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and customer service skills
