Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles according to DOT regulations.
- Deliver freight to designated drop-off locations in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and cargo area.
- Document delivery receipts and verify customer signatures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding routes and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 minor violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Basic computer skills for logging hours and tracking shipments.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
