Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety of the cargo and the truck.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring proper documentation and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve any delivery issues promptly.
- Keep the truck cabin and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) must be available for inspection.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than one preventable accident in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and DOT regulations.
