Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van/reefer) for regional deliveries
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and techniques
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and bills of lading
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in last 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with NYC traffic regulations and area geography
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Basic navigation and smartphone proficiency
- Flexible availability including weekends/early mornings
