Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks to transport freight safely and efficiently across the region.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and weight distribution according to FMCSA regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logbooks.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and route adjustments.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and map reading.
