Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van, refrigerated) for regional routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations and pre/post-trip inspection protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Handle cargo loading/unloading with proper equipment
- Report mechanical issues immediately for preventive maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate loading equipment
- Knowledge of HOS regulations and electronic logging
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Flexibility for overnight trips (3-5 days/week)
- Basic navigation and GPS proficiency
