Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A) for regional freight delivery
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain DOT compliance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques and weight distribution
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate proactively with clients and team members regarding shipment status
- Document delivery confirmations and resolve exceptions promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and route optimization software
- Proven ability to handle multi-stop delivery schedules in time-sensitive environments
- Strong spatial awareness and navigation skills across Ohio/Indiana/Kentucky
- Physical ability to secure cargo (up to 70 lbs) and climb trailer decks
