Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently across assigned routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent shifting.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation in compliance with FMCSA standards.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must meet DOT physical requirements (correctable vision, blood pressure, hearing).
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
