Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight across regional routes while adhering to DOT regulations.
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs.
- Coordinate with dispatch for real-time route adjustments and delivery confirmations.
- Load/unload cargo using proper techniques and equipment (e.g., pallet jacks).
- Implement strict safety protocols for hazardous materials when applicable.
- Build client relationships through professional communication and on-time deliveries.
- Submit maintenance reports and coordinate vehicle servicing promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years).
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation.
- Strong time-management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional weekend shifts.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting.
