Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on dedicated Washington D.C. and Georgia routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs (ELD)
- Load/unload freight with precision and care (no-touch freight)
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate repairs
- Maintain professional driver image and customer service standards
Qualifications
- Valid CDL-A license with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with ELD systems and route planning
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules (early starts)
- Georgia route experience preferred
