Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers in a safe and efficient manner over long distances.
- Ensure the safe loading, unloading, and securing of freight to prevent damage.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) logs and all required documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and hours-of-service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) valid for at least 90 days.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no DUIs or serious violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Flexibility to travel and work away from home as required.
