Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify and analyze emerging technologies, social shifts, and market disruptions relevant to 2026
- Develop and publish annual 'Future Outlook' reports with actionable insights for executive decision-making
- Design and facilitate strategic workshops to align stakeholders on long-term innovation pathways
- Create quantitative and qualitative scenario models to assess future market opportunities and risks
- Partner with R&D teams to translate futuristic concepts into prototype development roadmaps
- Represent the company at global industry forums and thought leadership conferences
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal futures intelligence network
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, Strategic Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or corporate R&D leadership
- Proven track record of publishing influential future-oriented research or thought leadership
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and technology impact assessment methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling skills to communicate complex future scenarios to diverse audiences
- Experience with futures intelligence platforms (e.g., Gartner, Forrester, or proprietary systems)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful implementation of future-driven strategic initiatives
