Responsibilities
- Transport students to and from school and school-related activities in a safe and timely manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Monitor student behavior and maintain a secure environment on the bus at all times.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, including those with special needs.
- Follow all traffic laws, school district policies, and safety regulations strictly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, parents, and school staff regarding routes and delays.
- Keep the bus clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
- Clean driving record (no major moving violations within the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Strong customer service skills, patience, and the ability to interact positively with children.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early morning and afternoon shifts.
