Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips according to approved routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate maintenance logs
- Ensure student safety through proper loading/unloading procedures and seatbelt monitoring
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety protocols
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement and conflict resolution skills
- Submit timely attendance and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain Class B CDL with Passenger (P) endorsement (training provided)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Minimum 25 years of age with 3+ years driving experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with mobility-impaired students
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Pass background check and fingerprinting
- High school diploma or equivalent
