Responsibilities
- Safely transport students following designated routes and schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Enforce student safety protocols during loading/unloading
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Adhere to all federal, state, and district transportation regulations
- Provide first aid assistance during emergencies
Qualifications
- Valid New York State CDL with Passenger (P) endorsement or ability to obtain
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Prior experience working with children preferred
- Ability to work early morning/afternoon hours
