Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students to/from school and field trips
- Conduct pre/post-trip bus inspections and maintenance checks
- Manage student behavior per district protocols
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with parents, schools, and dispatch
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
- Respond to emergencies following crisis management procedures
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Current DOT medical certificate
- Minimum 3 years driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Child First Aid/CPR certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb bus steps repeatedly
- Fluent English communication skills
- Positive attitude with student-focused mindset
