Responsibilities
- Transport students safely to and from school and school-related activities in a timely and courteous manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment, enforcing safety rules and student conduct.
- Communicate effectively with school administrators, parents, and dispatch regarding delays or student issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus as needed.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger endorsement (or be willing to obtain one through our paid training program).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Excellent driving record with no major moving violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with children and parents.
- Ability to work early morning and afternoon shifts, as well as occasional field trips.
