Responsibilities
- Safely Transport students to and from school on assigned routes in compliance with traffic laws and school district policies.
- Conduct Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections of the school bus to ensure mechanical safety and cleanliness.
- Maintain Order and Discipline on the bus, ensuring a safe environment for all passengers.
- Assist Students with boarding, alighting, and storing personal belongings safely.
- Communicate Effectively with dispatch, parents, and school administrators regarding schedule changes or student issues.
- Follow Route Maps accurately and arrive at stops on time to ensure punctuality.
- Report Incidents immediately, including vehicle malfunctions or student behavioral issues.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class B license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements required.
- Clean Driving Record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to Pass a thorough background check, drug screening, and physical examination.
- Excellent Communication Skills and a patient, professional demeanor.
- Physical Stamina required to stand for long periods and assist passengers.
- Willingness to Work early morning and afternoon shifts, including holidays and potentially weekends.
