Responsibilities
- Transport students safely to and from school on designated routes and for field trips.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical and safety compliance.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment for students while on the bus.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, school district policies, and safety regulations.
- Monitor student behavior and intervene appropriately to ensure passenger safety.
- Communicate effectively with school administrators, parents, and dispatch regarding delays or emergencies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical examination.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with children and parents.
