Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Enforce student safety protocols and manage bus behavior
- Maintain accurate student attendance and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and transportation coordinators
- Adhere to all traffic laws and district safety policies
- Assist students with mobility needs during boarding/exiting
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B CDL with Passenger & School Bus endorsements
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 points in 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility
- Fluency in English; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Child CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
