Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles and adhere to all traffic regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan and execute efficient daily routes while maintaining timely delivery schedules
- Load/unload merchandise with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and resolve inquiries professionally
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain proper signatures for all shipments
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize route efficiency and address delivery exceptions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience with route delivery background
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and operate delivery equipment safely
- Strong time management and organizational skills for route optimization
- Excellent customer service communication and problem-solving abilities
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation systems and route planning software
- Reliable transportation to and from depot location
- Pass background check and drug screening as required by DOT regulations
