Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate weekend freight dispatch schedules for a fleet of truck drivers.
- Communicate effectively with drivers regarding load details, route changes, and delivery windows.
- Ensure all paperwork, including Bill of Lading (BOL) and manifests, is accurate and processed on time.
- Monitor truck locations and provide real-time updates to customers and management.
- Resolve logistical bottlenecks and emergency situations that may arise during the weekend shift.
- Collaborate with the operations team to optimize routes and reduce fuel costs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, dispatching, or supply chain management.
- Strong computer proficiency, including experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with high accountability.
- Valid driver's license is preferred but not required for the remote coordinator role.
- Must be available to work weekends (Friday - Sunday) and holidays as needed.
