Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on assigned daily routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Implement emergency procedures and student management techniques
- Adhere to federal/state transportation regulations and school policies
- Utilize GPS routing systems for efficient route planning
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain Class B CDL with Passenger/School Bus endorsement (training provided)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Experience working with children preferred
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation to depot location
