Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical software frameworks for real-world applications
- Collaborate with physicists to translate quantum hardware capabilities into functional software
- Create error-correction protocols to enhance quantum system reliability
- Optimize quantum code for performance on emerging hardware platforms
- Document quantum software solutions and contribute to open-source initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers on quantum computing principles and best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years experience in quantum software development (Qiskit, Cirq, or similar)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level optimization techniques
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and computational theory
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong background in machine learning or high-performance computing
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Ability to work in cross-disciplinary teams with physicists and engineers
