Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols using superconducting and photonic systems
- Develop error correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical interfaces
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Secure $2M+ in NSF/DoD grants for 2026 quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent industry experience)
- 5+ years developing quantum algorithms or quantum simulation frameworks
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming toolkits
- Published work in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience with cryogenic quantum processor control systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and complexity theory
- US citizenship required for government-funded projects
