Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $1M+ in government and industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead quantum computing workshops
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability, and complex analysis
- Experience with NISQ-era quantum hardware limitations
- Strong Python/C++ programming with scientific computing libraries
- Proven grant writing and project management skills
