Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to hybridize quantum-classical computing workflows
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and contribute to open-source quantum frameworks
- Mentor junior researchers and secure $5M+ in government grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Ability to secure NSF/DOE quantum research funding
