Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error mitigation protocols for quantum hardware systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical concepts into practical quantum applications
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Secure and manage partnerships with quantum hardware manufacturers
- Contribute to patent development for proprietary quantum computing methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our open-source quantum toolkit
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of post-grad research
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Proven ability to secure research grants or corporate partnerships
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Passion for ethical quantum technology development and deployment
