Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubit platforms
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals with quarterly impact targets
- Mentor PhD interns and junior researchers in quantum error correction techniques
- Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to bridge theoretical models with physical implementations
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA programs
- Present findings at premier conferences like QIP and IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Publication record in top-tier journals with >50 citations in quantum computing
- Proficiency in Python, Qiskit, and Cirq with fluency in quantum assembly languages
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants as PI/Co-PI
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or fault-tolerant architectures
- Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship requirements
