Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, machine learning, and cryptography
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum error correction protocols
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in NSF and DARPA grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Develop quantum software interfaces for commercial applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to overcome quantum decoherence challenges
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# quantum programming frameworks
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit design
- Experience with quantum machine learning algorithms
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
