Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms targeting 2026-era hardware capabilities
- Lead research on quantum error mitigation and fault-tolerant architectures
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for enterprise applications
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure research partnerships with quantum hardware manufacturers
- Mentor a team of 5-7 quantum researchers and engineers
- Develop patent portfolios for quantum innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proficiency with quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit Aer, Quil)
- Experience leading federally funded research projects
- Strong background in quantum information theory and decoherence models
- Demonstrated ability to translate research into commercial applications
