Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum circuit architectures for industrial-scale applications
- Lead development of error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit connectivity and coherence times
- Create quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and simulation domains
- Develop hybrid classical-quantum computing frameworks for enterprise clients
- Mentor junior researchers and publish findings in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $10M+ in quantum computing grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years designing quantum algorithms or quantum error correction systems
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, or Cirq)
- Published research in quantum information theory or topological quantum computing
- Experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Strong background in quantum machine learning and neural networks
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
- Expertise in quantum cryptography and post-quantum security protocols
