Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure full compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and adhere to all traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery status.
- Uphold a professional image and maintain a clean driving record at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (depending on vehicle type).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) and background check.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
