Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight across California and surrounding regions.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Document all delivery details, including damage and discrepancies, accurately.
- Maintain strict adherence to FMCSA regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) and logbook requirements.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to minimize risk and ensure the safety of cargo and passengers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and route changes.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Current DOT medical card and negative drug screen results.
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or major traffic violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to read maps and navigate using GPS systems effectively.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor tasks.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
