Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on assigned routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Enforce bus safety protocols and student conduct policies
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Respond to emergency situations following district procedures
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and maintenance readiness
Qualifications
- Valid New Mexico Commercial Driver's License (Class B with P/S endorsement)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings/afternoons)
