Responsibilities
- Operate heavy dump trucks to transport construction materials, dirt, and debris to and from job sites.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts or manual handling equipment, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and cargo area at all times.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and crew members regarding delivery schedules and site conditions.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving heavy dump trucks.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and construction site procedures.
